Cedar Key is a fishing village on the Gulf of Mexico with a public boat ramp with trailer parking, marina, & fishing pier (aka the “big dock”). There are also private marinas, boat rentals, & charters. It is home to several boat meets throughout the year including power, sail, and airboat meets. The surrounding waters are home to a wide variety of fish and shell fish, like world famous “Cedar Key Clams”. Cedar Key is located on the “Nature Coast” and offers a large assortment of wildlife and historical sites like the Seahorse Key Lighthouse.
